Matsy’s Musings Series: From Grind to Grace — A Journey into Retirement and Remote Life

๐ŸŒ„ Part 1: The Leap Into the Unknown

When the day comes to say goodbye to my full-time job, I imagine it will feel like stepping into a warm pool—relaxing, comforting, and a bit luxurious. But the truth? It feels more like leaping off a cliff into deep water, unsure if I’ll sink or swim.

For years, my days were filled with meetings, deadlines, and to-do lists that stretched longer than the daylight. Even when it is overwhelming, it"s familiar. It gives me a sense of purpose. But when that structure falls away, I will be left with a blank canvas—and no idea how to fill it.

I keep asking myself, *Who am I without the work?*

A bit like Scarlett in Gone With the Wind "Where shall I go? What shall I do?"

If you’re standing at the edge of this transition, I can only offer this: It’s okay not to have it figured out. It’s okay to feel a little lost. The leap is real—but so is the possibility of learning to swim. Let's do this TOGETHER.

So, here’s to the first brave step into the unknown.

Until next time,

Matsy
